HB3703 has passed the senate unanimously and the edits to the bill have been approved by the House. The bill is on the governor’s desk.

Thank your elected officials for supporting expanding the Texas Compassionate Use Program or ask them to support next session. There are 2 separate letters to pick from to send about this topic. One for thanking your legislator, the other is a letter imploring that they support cannabis reform during their next campaign and/or legislative session.

Representative Nays — Bell, C.; Burrows; Craddick; Flynn; Metcalf; Murr; Noble; Shine; Smithee; Paul.
All Senators voted aye.

Ask your Senator to re-evaluate their stance on medicinal cannabis despite their yes vote. Several senators voiced their mind during the floor debate and some of it just didn’t add up or discounted testimonies given during committee hearing. The letter is already written, just enter your address so the system can find who your senator and representative is, and then click send to deliver the pre-written message to your senator.

Sadly, HB1365 is dead for failing to meet deadlines in the Senate.
HB 1365 was Representative Eddie Lucio III’s bill that will make TCUP more inclusive and compassionate for Texans. It was the better out of 2 bills to expand the program, but was nailed into the coffin on Thursday, May 16th 20109 as it was not scheduled for committee hearing in time. This bill also garnered 78 coauthors during last legislative session after a moving hearing.

Sadly, HB63 is dead for failing to meet deadlines in the Senate.
HB63 was Rep. Joe Moody’s bill that will replace current criminal sanctions with a civil penalty, punishable by a $250 fine with no jail or criminal record. It was amended to make the punishment a Class C misdemeanor with a $500 fine and no jail time, also allowing from expungement afterwards. The closest thing we will get to decriminalization in Texas will expansion of the medical program. SUPPORT HB3703 and adding PTSD/INTRACTABLE PAIN.

HB1325 regarding industrial hemp and cbd products has passed both chambers and is on the governors desk. Thank you for your support in getting this law changed in Texas.
